Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself or something that would surprise us.
K: I am a licensed veterinary technician (animal nurse), at a veterinary ophthalmology clinic. I’m from the Heights and have lived in the Cypress area for almost 3 years. Erick and I have been married for almost 2 years. We have lots of fur-babies and hope to add more when we buy some land.
E: I am a Mechanical Engineer. I’m originally from California and moved to Texas close to 20 years ago.
How and when were you introduced to Behemoth?
K/E: We joined Behemoth in January 2018. We were inconsistently doing cardio at a crowded gym, bored and not really seeing any results. One day a CrossFit workout popped up on my social media so I asked Erick if he would try it with me. A quick google search led me to Behemoth just 5 minutes from our house! (still always late to class) It was just meant to be!
What are you most proud of, physically, mentally or both since beginning with us?
K: I’ve never thought I’d be as strong as I am today. Also, being a part of Behemoth has gotten me around people more and I feel more comfortable being in groups! That’s something I’ve struggled with mentally most of my life.
E: Participating in the barbell class and seeing my improvement
What has been your biggest, yet most rewarding obstacle to overcome, whether in the gym or on your health journey to date?
K: The biggest obstacle I’ve faced was not being aggressive and confident when lifting. It’s still something I’m working on, but I’ve come along way. I dislocated my knee about 10 years ago and working with Aja to strengthen it has made a tremendous difference in my comfort and confidence.
E: My biggest obstacle to overcome has been weight loss. Progress has been very tough and slow but I am definitely seeing a difference
K/E: THE COACHES ARE THE BEST!!!
What next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future?
K: I hope to try the barbell class in the future.
E: I look forward to continuing with the GPP class!

K: I’m very active at work- Most days I’m wrangling crazy bulldogs! I also love hiking though!
